Leak Reveals iPhone Fold Display Sizes, Resolutions, and Camera Details

Apple’s long-rumored foldable iPhone, unofficially dubbed the iPhone Fold, appears to be gaining momentum, with fresh leaks revealing critical display specifications and design features. According to a recent tip from reliable source yeux1122, Apple is preparing a foldable device that could redefine the category — both in terms of quality and innovation.

Large Crease-Free Display with Under-Display Camera

The iPhone Fold is said to feature a 7.76-inch internal display with a resolution of 2713 x 1920 pixels. Unlike other foldables currently on the market, Apple is reportedly going with a crease-free design, potentially using advanced panel layering and hinge engineering to deliver a seamless visual experience.

Most notably, this internal display will reportedly house an under-display camera, marking the first time Apple has integrated such technology. By removing notches and punch holes, Apple aims to provide an immersive, uninterrupted screen — a move that mirrors Samsung’s implementation in its Galaxy Z Fold series.

Samsung is expected to supply the high-end OLED panels for the iPhone Fold, with sources noting that Apple prioritized panel quality over cost when finalizing its suppliers.

Secondary Display and Dynamic Island Possibility

Alongside the main folding screen, the iPhone Fold will include a 5.49-inch external display with a 2088 x 1422 resolution. This cover display will reportedly use a more conventional punch-hole camera cutout and may even incorporate Apple’s Dynamic Island, allowing users to interact with notifications and apps without opening the device.

Leaked details suggest a 4:3 aspect ratio for the inner screen — a layout that favors multitasking and video playback, reinforcing the iPhone Fold’s focus on productivity and entertainment.

Touch ID Replaces Face ID in Foldable Form

In a surprising shift, Apple may omit Face ID from the iPhone Fold entirely. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reports that Apple is exploring a Touch ID sensor embedded in the power button, citing internal space constraints and the need for a slimmer build. The device is rumored to measure just 4.5mm thick when open, and around 9mm when folded, demanding efficient use of every component.

Premium Materials and Reinforced Hinge

Apple is also raising the bar in materials and engineering. The frame will reportedly be made of titanium, offering lightweight durability. Meanwhile, a liquid metal hinge, developed by Dongguan EonTec, is designed to reduce screen creasing and increase long-term resilience.

Battery life is a top priority, with leaks pointing to a high-density battery capable of supporting the larger dual displays and maintaining all-day performance.

Launch Timeline and Price Expectations

While Apple is not expected to unveil the iPhone Fold until late 2026, sources say mass production could begin by the end of 2025. Initial pricing is expected to fall in the $2,100 to $2,300 range, clearly positioning the device as a premium offering for early adopters.

Despite its high price tag, Apple reportedly plans to manufacture over 15 million units annually, signaling strong internal confidence and a belief that the iPhone Fold could become a mainstream product over time.
